MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)--The Mindanao State University (MSU)-Main Campus situated here has marked the celebration of its 61st founding anniversary with benefits favorable to its constituents and even to the residents of the city.
This, following the successful conduct of a medical mission by its College of Health Sciences and Department of Nursing Thursday, September 8.
“Every foundation day, we want to give free medical services to the constituents of the MSU,” said MSU-Main Campus College of Health Sciences Faculty Member Jamal Alawiya.
Accordingly, the program was in close collaboration with the City Health Office (CHO), Lanao del Sur Provincial Health Office (PHO) and Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO), and Amai Pakpak Medical Center (APMC).
During the event, various free medical services were offered such as the coronavirus disease (COVID)-19 and human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination, Hb1AC and random blood sugar testing, medical consultation for kids and adults, and a blood donation drive, among others.
Alawiya detailed that at the end of the day, roughly 300 patients were catered to by their program.
He further emphasized that although this particular initiative of theirs was already over, this did not mean that people could no longer avail of the medical services as these are still provided by health departments and offices in the city and the province here.
“This program is being offered for free. If they want or kailangan nila ang mga ganitong serbisyo, pwede sila pumunta sa [health] agencies [need these, they can go to [health] agencies] to avail free services,” said Alawiya. (CRG/PIA-10/Lanao del Sur)
